Write on, Oceanside

Last month, I took the opportunity to participate in a local event hosted by the Oceanside Public Library and Cultural Arts Foundation called Write On, Oceanside. It’s a fun event that brings out 20 or so local authors and has many activities for attendees to participate in. This was my third year in a row participating in the event and this year I was honored to be asked to partake in the author panel. I was anticipating talking to about eight people (mostly family and friends) but was encouraged and surprised to see between 40-50 people. Myself along with authors Jolie Tunnell and Clive Gill were the three who spoke about our experiences publishing our books and answering audience questions. The event went on for about 75 minutes and I’ve included some photos from the event.

Once Upon a Book Fair a Success

The organizers mixed it up this year and held the annual Book Fair at the Mershops of North County this past Saturday, November 15th. I was situated near the Santa Claus and Christmas tree picture area which I thought was prime real estate. The weather was poor which I think contributed to many more people being at the mall than otherwise normally would be there. I estimate at least 4,000 shoppers walked by my table, so the exposure was definitely there. Hundreds of my promotional bookmarks were handed out (mostly by my dad). I made some more connections with local authors and the like, which usually ends up being the best part of these events. Stay tuned for future events I will be sure to post on this site.

We’re off and running!

Thank you to everyone who has long suggested I get a website up and running. It’s advice I have heard, ingested, and now put into action. My hope is to create an easy place for you to come and see what events I have coming up, find books that have already been published, and hear about new material I have written and hope to publish soon! Hopefully this is an avenue where you can ask me questions directly and even give any feedback. Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you again!
